An elderly woman has died after being hit by a motorcycle in Doti. The District Police Office has informed that 68-year-old Taradevi Balayar, a local resident, died during treatment after an accident on the KI Singh Highway in Banedugrisain, Shikhar Municipality-10 of the district.
A motorcycle bearing the number Suppra 01 013 Pa 8128 coming from Dhangadhi towards Dipayal hit a pedestrian while crossing the road on Friday afternoon.
Mohan Bogati, 26, of Dipayal Siliguri Municipality-2, sustained injuries to his head, legs and face after being hit by the motorcycle. He was sent to Dadeldhura Hospital for treatment, where he died during treatment, police said.
The motorcycle and the driver have been taken into custody and necessary investigations are underway, police said.
