The Baitadi committee of the commission has begun work after the Supreme Court overturned the government's decision to dissolve the Land Problems Resolution Commission.

The commission has started land surveying for landless squatters and unorganized settlers from Pancheshwor Rural Municipality-1 from Friday. 

District Chairman of the commission Ramesh Pandey said that the commission's surveying team has started land surveying on the basis of applications submitted by landless squatters and unorganized settlers.

More than 500 landless squatters and unorganized settlers have applied in Pancheshwor Rural Municipality alone. He said that further work will be taken forward after the survey report.  

So far, 3,000 landless Dalits, landless squatters and unorganized settlers have registered applications in the district.

Rural Municipality Chairman Gorakh Bahadur Chand said that the problem of landless squatters and unorganized settlers within the municipality will be resolved immediately with the work of the commission's land surveying work, and the municipality will provide full support.
