A woman has died after being buried under a mudslide in Darchula. The deceased has been identified as Jhuma Rana, 24, of Dilashaini Rural Municipality-3, Baitadi district, police said.
According to the District Police Office, Darchula, Rana was seriously injured after a landslide occurred while digging soil in Shailyashikhar Municipality-1, Darchula district, one kilometer from her home on Wednesday.
The injured were immediately rescued by locals and taken to Gokuleshwor Hospital for treatment, but the doctors declared her dead.
