It has been urged to take necessary initiatives in a timely manner as failure to supply electricity to centers without electricity could lead to problems in election management, vote counting, security and communication-related work.
The District Administration Office, Dadeldhura, has urged the Nepal Electricity Authority to ensure electricity supply to various polling stations in Dadeldhura district, targeting the House of Representatives elections.
The District Administration Office, Dadeldhura, has requested to make arrangements for electrification as soon as possible in the polling stations within the district that do not have electricity service during the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21.
As electricity service is essential for the election process to be conducted in a fair, peaceful and orderly manner, the Nepal Electricity Authority Dadeldhura Distribution Center has been instructed to make necessary preparations at the concerned polling stations.
Seven different polling stations in Parshuram Municipality, Alital Rural Municipality and Bhageshwor Rural Municipality have not had access to electricity. Samaijeshwor Primary School Sela polling station in Alital Rural Municipality, Bhageshwor Secondary School Basauti polling station in Parshuram Municipality, Siddhanath Secondary School Katal polling station and Kailapal Deval Secondary School Patram, Pashupati Secondary School Balada, Bhageshwor Secondary School Lekuda and Dambarpur Secondary School Chaud polling stations in Bhageshwor Rural Municipality have not had electricity service.
Failure to supply electricity to the centers without electricity may lead to problems in election management, vote counting, security and communication-related work, so it is requested to take necessary initiatives in a timely manner.
Keeping in mind the sensitivity of the election, Dadeldhura Assistant Chief District Officer Amar Bahadur Wali said that the concerned bodies have been urged to make arrangements to ensure that electricity service is not disrupted and to work in a coordinated manner to minimize potential risks.
