Congress and UML register candidacies for National Assembly members in the Far West

The Congress and the UML have jointly registered their candidacies for the National Assembly elections in the Far West. The Congress has registered the candidacies of Khamma Bahadur Khati and the UML has registered the candidacies of Leela Kumari Bhandari. Khati is a former Attorney General and Bhandari is a former Minister of State.

According to the Provincial Election Office, Dhangadhi, the total vote share in the Far West is 6,100. Of which, Nepali Congress has 2,607, CPN has 1,816, UML has 1,533, RPP has 53, RSVP has 53 and independents have 38.

Congress and UML register candidacies for National Assembly members in the Far West CPN has 2,756 out of 1,800 provincial assembly members and 3,344 at the local level. The number of voters in the Far West Provincial Assembly is 52 while the number of voters at the local level is 88.

In the Far West, Gopal Hamal, Mayor of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City, and Santosh Prakash Joshi of Dilasaini Rural Municipality of Baitadi are independents.
