Five people have been arrested in Baitadi with drugs in the form of brown heroin. The arrests were made at around 9:45 am on Tuesday from the office of SKNS Nirman Sewa Pvt. Ltd. in Patan Bazaar, Patan Municipality-6, informed Police Inspector Baldev Badu, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Baitadi.
Those arrested are Hemanta Bista, 21, of Patan Municipality-6, Kapil Bista, 22, Sasank Chand, 18, Bishnu Bista, 30, and Subash Kathayat, 22, of the same place. 250 milligrams of brown heroin was found in their possession.
‘The police found the substance during an investigation based on a special tip-off that drugs were being smuggled,’ said Spokesperson Badu. ‘All five people were immediately arrested along with the drugs.’
All five people were arrested by a team deployed from the Area Police Office, Patan. The police have extended the remand of the five arrested people by the court and further investigation is underway, according to the police.
