UML Baitadi has single-handedly recommended Damodar Bhandari's name for the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21.

Bhandari was elected to the House of Representatives in the second Constituent Assembly election of 2070, and consecutively in 2074 and 2079. UML Baitadi has single-handedly recommended him for the fourth time for the House of Representatives election.

UML Baitadi President Naresh BK said that the district committee unanimously recommended Bhandari, who is a UML central member, as a candidate. 

He was the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supplies before the Gen-G movement. Bhandari, who was the Minister of State for Finance during the Constituent Assembly, has been the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supplies three times.
