Jogbudha Hospital in Dadeldhura's Parshuram Municipality has been upgraded to a provincial hospital. The hospital was granted provincial-level recognition after an agreement was signed between the Ministry of Social Development, the Far Western Province Government, and Parshuram Municipality on Monday.

According to Parashuram Municipality Mayor Bharat Badair Joshi, with the hospital becoming a provincial hospital, local citizens are expected to receive more quality, systematic and comprehensive health services. It is believed that this will reduce the need for citizens of Parashuram Municipality and surrounding municipalities to travel far for specialist health treatment.

Mayor Joshi said that initiatives have been underway to upgrade Jogbudha Hospital for a long time. He said that the hospital has been successfully converted into a provincial hospital after an agreement was reached between the provincial government and the municipality.

The municipality has stated that after the upgrade as a provincial hospital, more attention will be paid to expanding specialist services, necessary manpower, equipment and infrastructure. This is expected to improve maternal and child health, emergency services, disease identification and treatment services.

Mayor Joshi expressed special gratitude to the Ministry of Social Development, the Far Western Provincial Government, people's representatives, employees and all stakeholders who helped make this achievement possible.
