Two members of the Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly are preparing to file their candidacies in the upcoming House of Representatives elections. Chakra Bahadur Malla, the elected member of the UML from Constituency (1) in the Doti Provincial Assembly elections, is preparing to run for the House of Representatives from Doti.
‘I am preparing to become a candidate if the party gives me a ticket,’ Malla said. Activists close to Malla said that he is almost certain to contest the election from Doti.
Another MP, Tara Prasad Joshi, also says that he is preparing to file his candidacy in the House of Representatives election. Joshi, who was elected to the Provincial Assembly as an independent candidate from Dadeldhura Provincial Constituency (2), was a member of the Ujjaya Nepal Party. He said that necessary consultations and discussions are being held regarding the preparation of filing his candidacy from Dadeldhura after the merger with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). ‘We will soon decide what to do,’ he said.
