An East-West Flag March has been launched to mark the 25th founding day (Silver Jubilee) of the Armed Police Force.
The march started from the Border Security Force at Gaddachauki in Kanchanpur. Similarly, a flag march was also started from the No. 2 Battalion in Kakadbhitta, Jhapa on Sunday.
The flag march that started from Gaddachauki was inaugurated by DIG Pradeep Pal of the Armed Police Force. He said that the flag march will contribute to the commitment to border security and vigilance.
The flag march is expected to increase coordination and cooperation within the organization and increase public relations between locals and stakeholders in the border area along with trust and cooperation.
The flag march team that started from Gaddachauki on Sunday consists of 35 people led by an Armed Police Inspector. The team will cross the Kanchanpur border and hand over the flag to Kailali.
The Kailali team will reach Bardiya, while the team that came from Jhapa in the east and the team that went from Gaddachauki will reach Thori in Chitwan and conclude, said SP Lokendra Bhatta of the No. 35 Battalion of the Armed Police Force in Jhalari.
