Shankar Dutta Joshi, a member of Lekham-5 ward, said that the cow inside the shed was also burnt to death in the fire. He said that the cow inside the shed was also injured in the fire. All the wood and food grains inside the house were burnt.
According to ward member Joshi, the fire that was lit to cook the buffalo outside caught fire and the house caught fire.
A team that went from the Ratmata police station has estimated that the fire has caused a loss of more than Rs 150,000.
