Girl seriously injured after being hit by stone while returning from school

A girl has been seriously injured after being hit by a stone falling from a cliff while returning home from school. Pushpa Thapa of Masini Baluwa in Mahakali Municipality broke her leg after being hit by a stone falling from a cliff near her home on Monday afternoon.

Mahakali Municipality-7 Latinath Basic School Thaligad, an 11-year-old student, was injured after being hit by a stone.

Thapa, a resident of Masini Baluwa in Mahakali Municipality, was injured after being hit by a stone from above while returning home from school, said Dr. Dambardatta Bhatta, Information Officer at District Hospital Darchula. The injured girl has been referred to Dhangadhi for further treatment after receiving general treatment at the District Hospital.

According to the family, a stone falling from a cliff has fractured and separated Thapa's right knee. The girl's left leg has also been seriously injured.
