The party meeting chaired by the former Maoist Center's Doti district in-charge Trilochan Bhatta has recommended candidates for the direct and proportional representation elections for the House of Representatives to be held on Falgun 21 and the National Assembly elections to be held on Magh 11.
Trilochan Bhatta, Harka Bahadur Singh, Jung BK, Anjita Shrestha, Siddharaj BK, Bir Bahadur Thapa, Dhan Bahadur Bista and Prakash Joshi have been recommended as candidates for the direct representation elections for the House of Representatives.
The recommended candidates include former Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province Bhatta and Constituent Assembly member Singh for the Khas-Arya side, Jung BK and Siddharaj BK for the Dalit side, Anjita Shrestha for the women/tribal side, Dhan Bahadur Bista for the youth side, and Bir Bahadur Thapa and Prakash Joshi for the new youth side.
Thapa, who was recommended as a candidate for the new youth side, is the president of Akhil (Revolutionary) Sudurpaschim, while Joshi is the in-charge of YCL Doti.
Similarly, 10 people have been recommended for the proportional representation side. Gorakh Bahadur Sarki, Krishna Darlami, Purna Joshi, Srichandra Shrestha, Sita Rayamajhi, Dil Bahadur Kathayat, Dambar Dharti, Nandalal BK, Double Tamrakar and Laxman Nath Yogi have been recommended.
Similarly, Bharat Bahadur Bohara has been unanimously recommended for the post of National Assembly member. The party has stated that the candidates have been recommended on the basis of inclusiveness, experience and contribution to the organization.
