Jagannath Bohara, former principal of Bhageshwor Secondary School in Parshuram Municipality-2, has been bid farewell with a city tour.

On the occasion of the school's 63rd anniversary and Parents' Day, he was respectfully bid farewell on Saturday with a procession and a city tour in a car.

The ceremony was chaired by Ward Chairman of Parshuram Municipality-2 and School Management Committee Chairman Ramesh Bahadur Bohara and hosted by Parshuram Municipality Mayor Bharat Badair (Joshi). After the city tour, the farewell team took Bohara to his home in Parshuram Municipality-4, Katal, informed the school's principal Dambar Bohara.

Bohara, who retired in 2082 Baisakh, served as the principal of the school for about 35 years, 9 months and 11 days since 2045 BS. He reminded the program that the school, which started with a 3-room mud building with a salary of Rs 675 in the initial phase, has been continuously serving till today. Saying, '36 years have passed in the soil of Bhageshwor, I did not realize it,' he bowed down and gave an emotional response.

He had contributed to the educational progress of the school by teaching thousands of students from remote settlements. The school has stated that in appreciation of that contribution, the school honored him with tika, flower garland, dosalla and a letter of appreciation. 

The chief guest of the program, Parashuram Municipality Chief Bharat Badair (Joshi), called Bohara ‘a warrior who took Bhageshwor Mavi to where it is today’ and remembered his contribution. The locals described the farewell program as an emotional and historic moment, stating that Bohara’s leadership, contribution and dedication have brought about significant changes in the educational sector here.
