Chief Minister Shah has been having difficulty walking for the past few days after he noticed problems with his right leg, spine and nerves, the secretariat has said. He left for Delhi via land from Dhangadhi on Friday morning.
After initial treatment at the Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi failed to improve, he went to Kathmandu. After he did not fully recover in Kathmandu, it was decided to go to New Delhi for further treatment as per the doctor's advice, his secretariat has said.
Chief Minister Shah will be treated at Max Hospital in New Delhi. The secretariat has also made it clear that he will personally bear all the expenses incurred for the treatment. With his departure from Delhi, Economic Affairs Minister Bahadur Singh Thapa has been given the responsibility of the acting Chief Minister.
