The Jalpadevi Cable Car Company has stated that the construction of the first phase of the cable car will be completed by next April.

The company has stated that the construction of the office building structure has been completed so far. Seven out of the 14 towers required for the cable car have been constructed. The company has also stated that more than half of the construction work on both the lower and upper stations of the cable car has also been completed.

The company has stated that it is preparing to put the cable car into operation after completing the construction of the cable car, parking and office building in the first phase. The cable car project is being constructed with a joint investment of about seven billion rupees by businessman Chandra Prasad Dhakal and businessman Surya Bahadur Thapa of Kailali.

The company had started work with the aim of completing the construction of the entire structure and bringing it into full operation in two years. The operator Thapa said that the plan is to operate the cable car in 2083 April in the first phase. ‘Work is underway to put the cable car into operation by next April,’ said Thapa. According to Thapa, infrastructure including a five-star hotel, casino, fun park and other facilities will be built in the second phase.

Locals expect that the excitement in Chisapani, Kailali, will increase further after the construction of the cable car due to the attraction of the Karnali Bridge. The company has stated that the cable car being built in Chisapani, the confluence of Lumbini, Karnali and the Far West, is the longest in Nepal.

According to the company, the length of the cable car will be 3.1 kilometers. This project, which will be built from Chisapani, Lamkichuha Municipality-3, Kailali to Rajkanda, Mohanyal Rural Municipality-7, is the largest private investment project in the Far West. Infrastructure including a five-star hotel along with a cable car will be built in Rajkanda, the highest mountain in the Chure region of Kailali, and a three-star hotel in Chisapani.

Operator Thapa said that preparations are underway to build infrastructure including a three-star hotel, a banquet hall with a capacity of 1,000 people, a casino, a swimming pool, and other infrastructure in Chisapani. According to Thapa, there are plans to build a five-star hotel, a seminar hall with a capacity of 500 people, an attractive Jalpadevi temple, a one-kilometer-long wall around the hill in Rajkanda, a baby park where 1,000 children can play, and a glass bridge. He said that this project is expected to make a significant contribution to the economic development of the Far West. The company believes that the Chisapani cable car and five-star hotel, located two hours away from the Indian border, Gaurifanta, will be a favorite among Indian tourists.

From Rajkanda, which is about 1,200 meters above sea level, one can enjoy the beautiful views of the Chisapani area, as well as the beautiful plains of the Terai, as well as the mountain ranges of Api, Saipal, Kanjirowa Himal, Om Parbat, etc.

Since the Bardiya National Park, famous for tiger viewing, is connected to Chisapani, the operator Thapa said that tourists who come here will have an easy opportunity to view the Bardiya National Park. He said that 2 percent of the income generated from the cable car will be given as royalty to the local government and hundreds of jobs will be created.
