Mini blood bank in operation in Baitadi

A mini blood bank has been brought into operation at the District Hospital, Baitadi since Sunday. Haris Pant, Information Officer at the District Hospital, Baitadi, informed that the mini blood bank has been brought into operation at the District Hospital with the management of the Nepal Red Cross Society Branch, Baitadi, coordination and support of the District Administration Office and Dasharathchand Municipality.

A mini blood bank has been brought into operation in Baitadi, which was previously only an emergency blood transfusion center. With the introduction of the mini blood bank, patients in need of blood at the district hospital no longer have to go elsewhere.

Dasharathchand Municipality has deployed a health worker for the mini blood bank brought into operation at the district hospital. Similarly, the necessary equipment and other materials have been provided by the district hospital.

Minister of the Red Cross Society Baitadi, Ramesh Singh Bhandari, said that the Nepal Red Cross Society has been brought into operation by supporting the management of the blood bank as it is an organization dedicated to humanitarian service.

At the inauguration of the mini blood bank, the Chief of the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 51 Corps Headquarters Baitadi, Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police, Jung Bahadur Kunwar, also donated a bag of blood. Since blood donation is a gift of life, blood can be donated to the blood bank, according to the District Hospital Baitadi.
