Employees working in Darchula have donated 265,500 rupees to rebuild physical infrastructure damaged during the Gen-G movement.
The amount of Rs 265,500 collected from the employees was handed over to the reconstruction fund on Sunday. The amount was collected from civil servants working in all bodies of the district, said Birendra Singh Dhami, District President of the Civil Servants Union.
Chief District Officer Anil Poudel said that the support provided by Darchula is a positive step at a difficult time when the structure of the nation has been damaged. Employees working here have said that even if the amount collected from Darchula is small, it will help in the reconstruction.
According to Chief District Officer Poudel, more than 300 employees have contributed to the reconstruction fund. District Coordination Committee Chief Mahadev Badu (Kashyap), who was present at the money transfer program, had collected money from the employees and appreciated their support during the national crisis.
