A woman has died while travelling on a bus from Mahendranagar in Kanchanpur to Khalanga, the district headquarters of Darchula.
Janaki Chand, 45, a resident of Sigas Rural Municipality in Baitadi, died while riding Mahakali Yatayat bus No. Na 8 Kha 301. She boarded the bus from Khodpe and fainted when she reached Gwani, Shailyashikhar Municipality-6, Darchula. Doctors declared her dead at the district hospital, said Darchula Police Information Officer Hemraj Bhatta.
Police said she was on her way to Bhadaini's wedding in Maiti Duhu Rural Municipality-2, Hikila. Further investigation into the incident is underway and the body has been kept at the district hospital for an autopsy, according to the District Police Office.
