Police have taken two Indian nationals into custody in Dhangadhi, Kailali, along with more than 2.8 million rupees that were being carried suspiciously.
A team from the District Police Office, Kailali, stopped the car they were travelling in during an investigation in the Milanchowk area of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-3 and seized the cash. The team was led by Deputy Inspector of Police, Gajendra Bahadur Chand.
The arrested persons are Sagar Gupta, 29, and Harchit Gupta, 27, of Lakhimpur Khiri, Paliya, India, according to the police. The registration number of the car they were driving is UP-31-CN-1175.
The car was stopped based on a special information and after the cash was recovered, both of them were taken into custody and further investigation was initiated, according to the District Police Office, Kailali.
