Shivnath Rural Municipality of Baitadi has declared a four-day local holiday. The public holiday has been declared on the occasion of the fair (jatra) held at the Shivnath Temple and Dehigada Bhagwati Temple in the rural municipality.

The rural municipality has issued a notice and declared public holidays on Kartik 11 and 12 and Kartik 18 and 19. A fair is held at the famous Shivnath Temple on Kartik 11 and 12.

Similarly, a two-day festival is also held at the Dehigada Temple on Kartik 18 and 19. For the same reason, the notice issued by the rural municipality states that public holidays have been declared on the occasion of the two-day Shivnath Fair and the two-day fair at the Dehigada Temple.

All government offices, educational institutions, banks and financial institutions within the rural municipality will remain closed during the holiday. Not only Nepalese but also border Indian pilgrims visit the fair held at the Shivnath Temple.
