Five people have been injured in an accident involving a Bolero jeep coming from Doti to Dadeldhura.

A jeep carrying passengers who were going from Raukola, Sayal Rural Municipality-6, Doti, to Ugratara Temple in Dadeldhura for a picnic met with an accident in Machili Khola, Ganyapadhura Rural Municipality-3 on Saturday afternoon.

Five people were injured when the jeep bearing the number Lumbini Province 01-001 Cha 3301 overturned on the road, informed Shyamraj Bohara, Chief of the District Traffic Police Office, Dadeldhura.

There were 13 people on board the jeep. They had gone for a picnic at Ugratara Temple after playing Bhailo during Tihar. Police said that 17-year-old Lali Saund, 18-year-old Laxmi Saund, 19-year-old Abeka Saund, 19-year-old Madan Saund, and 16-year-old Keshav Saund of Sayal Rural Municipality were injured in the accident.

The injured are being treated at Dadeldhura Hospital. Police said that further investigation is underway into the cause of the accident.
