A person from Baitadi has died after being hit by a train in India. The deceased, 42-year-old Bisa Chand, of Liskita, Surnaya Rural Municipality-2 in the district, died after being hit by a train in Kerala, India, said the deceased's nephew Anil Chand.

Chand and his family were living in Kerala, India, for employment. He died on the spot when he was hit by a train while returning to Kerala from Bangalore on Wednesday.

The deceased Chand is survived by a son and a wife. The family has said that Chand's body will be cremated in Kerala.
