At present, safari can be done only from Majhgaon office to Singhapur via Ranital and from Majhgaon to Barkaula. But the main attraction of the park, the safari cannot be continued until Shuklaphanta grassland.

'There are big potholes on the road on both sides, it is not possible to go on a safari right up to the fork,' said Purushottam Wagle, the conservation officer of the park, 'now the repair work is being carried out by installing JCB in the area.'

The vast grassland of the park spread over an area of 54 square kilometers is the habitat of twelve antelopes. Thousands of deer are seen grazing here. According to the latest count, there are more than 2300 elephants in the park. Grassland is mandatory in the choice of safari goers in the park. The grassland is about 29 km south of Majhagaon.

The safari was closed from the third week of June after the road broke down during the rainy season. The safari was stopped when the vehicle got stuck in the forest due to bad roads and had to be rescued. In the last fiscal year, 3 thousand 722 tourists entered the park.

"All the routes will be opened before Sakbar Tihar," Conservation Officer Wagle said, "In one/two places the road has collapsed and the river itself has flowed, it seems that it will take time to repair the road." He said that two JCBs are working to repair the roads on both routes.

The park, which has an area of 350 square kilometers, is considered attractive because of wild animals including elephants, tigers, rhinos, elephants, Krishnasar and Chital, as well as vast grasslands, talalaiya, birdlife, etc. According to the latest count, there are 43 adult tigers, 23 rhinoceros, 300 more krishnasar and 40 more wild elephants.
