During the demonstration on August 24, the surveyor's office in Kailali was set on fire and the damage was worth 95 lakhs. According to the office, two vehicles worth 65 lakhs, a motorcycle, computer, printer, scanner, drawers and chairs were burnt.

Janakraj Bhatt, head of Napi office Kailali, said that all the records of the office are safe. "Despite the physical and financial damage, all records of Napi are safe. There is no situation where the customer will be in trouble," he said. According to him, the map printing room of the office was more affected by the fire. 

He said that even though some ordinary documents were burnt, important data was not damaged. The office said that the service was closed since August 24 and has been fully operational since October 2. The head of the office Bhatt informed that the details of the damage have been collected and sent to the compensation department and the help will be received from there to start the reconstruction work.

Malport office service also  operation

Bhoomishadhar and Malpot and Napi office Kailali buildings are connected together. The fire caused more damage to the cargo than to the vessel. However, Malpot has also completed all its operations. According to the information officer of the office, Dilaraj Bhatta, the service delivery has already started from October 7. 

Three rooms of the office have been completely damaged by the fire. Registration section, store section and registration invoice section have been affected. Information officer Bhatt informed that there was partial damage in other rooms as well. The wiring and networking of the entire building were also damaged by the fire. 

Although Lalpurja was burnt to some extent, the office said that all other details are safe. According to the office, the physical damage to the building, three vehicles, two motorcycles, computers, scanners and printers in all the rooms have been destroyed. However, information officer Bhatt informed that the work has started after receiving help from various places including computers, printers, wiring etc. According to him, there has been a huge decline in revenue collection after this incident.
