377 prisoners who escaped from Kailali prison on August 24 are still absconding.

There are 666 prisoners in the prison and 289 people have returned. 

The prison administration issued a notice asking all the absconding prisoners to return. However, more than half of the prisoners have not returned yet. Jailer Chiranjeevi Sapkota of District Jail Kailali said that the prisoners are coming in contact.

According to him, out of 18 Indian prisoners who are serving sentences in various cases, only one has returned to prison. Jailer Sapkota said that others are absconding and the search is on. Four of the captured prisoners were injured. 

The prison administration said that they are being treated and their condition is normal.  

There were 666 prisoners including 58 women in Kailali prison.
