The Mahakali highway blocked by landslides has been put into operation. A landslide occurred in Dogdarkedar rural municipality-5 Salsena of Baitadi under the Satbanjh-Gokuleshwar road section of the highway on Tuesday morning around 9:30 am.
Baldeb Badu, Police Inspector of District Police Office, Baitadi, said that the highway has been operating since Wednesday after the landslides cleared. "The vehicles stopped on the road have been sent to their destination after the road has been reopened," he said, "The risk of landslides remains in the area."
The weather in Baitadi has improved since Wednesday.
