On Monday, a woman was found dead on the banks of Mahakali river in Parigaon, Parasuram municipality-5 of Dadeldhura.

The name, surname and nationality of the 35-year-old woman have not yet been revealed.

After the body was found on the river bank, a police team from the area police office Jogbudha has reached and conducted a preliminary investigation of the incident site.

The body is now kept in Jogbudha Hospital, said District Police Office Dadeldhura Information Officer and Police Inspector Dumbar Bisht. The woman's identity and cause of death have not yet been released. The police said that further investigation is going on regarding the

incident.
