Dasharathchand Municipality of Baitadi has declared a public holiday within the municipal area on Sunday. On the occasion of the Jatra (Fair) held at the famous Ninglashaini Bhagwati Temple located in Ward No-2 of the municipality, a public holiday has been declared tomorrow throughout the municipality.
According to the notice signed by Deputy Chief Kausheela Chand, one day public holiday has been given to the local level using the powers granted within its jurisdiction. It has been mentioned in the notification that public holidays have been given to all government offices, educational institutions, non-governmental organizations within the city area.
Anant Chaturdashi Jatra has started from Bhadra Shukla Dwadashi at Ninglashaini Bhagwati Temple. The Jatra will end tomorrow on Bhadra Shukla Purnima.
Most animal sacrifices are given in this temple in other Jatras. But in this Jatra, special worship will be performed instead of sacrifice, Ward President Surya Bohra said. This Jatra is also called Baitada Swaradiki Jatra .
