45 families displaced due to floods in Kanchanpur

45 families have been displaced due to the floods that came after continuous rains. According to District Police Office Kanchanpur, 5 families were displaced in Bhujela of Bhimdatta Municipality-11, 25 in Rampure Island of Dodhara Chandni Municipality-8 and 15 in Paterakhalla of the same municipality-3.

Due to flooding in Bhujela, water entered 5 houses. DSP Sagar Bohra of District Police Office Kanchanpur said that after moving the members of that house to a safe place, the goods were also moved to a higher place.

70 people from 25 families have been displaced due to flood of Jogbuda river in Dodhara Chandni municipality-8 Rampure island and Zarga tol. They have been shifted to nearby Janjyoti Secondary School.

15 families of Dodhara Chandni Municipality-3 Paterakhalla have been displaced when the flood entered the village of Jogbuda. They have been shifted to the nearby Jamuna Basic School Jamunaghadi.

Meanwhile, the flow of water in the Mahakali river is also increasing. According to the measurement at 11 pm on Monday, the flow of water in the river has reached 1 lakh 51 thousand cusecs.

Four-wheeler vehicle movement has been banned due to the increase in the flow of water in the river. As soon as the flow of water in the river exceeds 100,000 cusecs, the movement of four-wheeled vehicles will be banned as there will be a risk to the dilapidated bridge.
