Three of the dead students were from Valmiki International School while Jeff Bhandari was studying at Galaxy High School. Valmiki International School issued a statement and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family, wishing the soul of the deceased student eternal peace. Similarly, Gardner Eagles School has expressed grief over the untimely death of four teenagers, including their former students, the Bhandari brothers.
Gajendra Bahadur Shahi, the ward president of Dhangadhi-5, expressed grief over the death of the teenagers and said that the people's representatives are also responsible. According to him, there was no warning or information sign in the deep part of the river, which caused such a huge loss of life.
According to DSP Ran Bahadur Chand, Chief of Malakheti Police Office, the teenagers entered the river at 12:30 in the afternoon. Their dead bodies were found after about four hours in the rapid flow of the river with the help of locals, police and armed police. Navin Dadal, Yuvraj Kunwar and Akash Malla were unharmed among the seven participants in the group.
Dhangadhi is shocked after this accident. From social media to the streets, political party leaders, state assembly members, teachers, students and common people are offering their condolences to the family.
