"The tigers have been seen on the automatic cameras set up for counting, but the number of tigers has not been counted," said Purushottam Wagle, conservation officer of the park, "There has been no separate count and study." He said that they have been appearing regularly in Banke, Bardia and Shukla Complex lately. Kathe bear is also seen in Terai. India's Dudhwa National Park has the highest number of polar bears. It is estimated that it can grow here from the same area. 

Lakshmiraj Joshi, the head of Shuklaphanta conservation program of the National Nature Conservation Fund, said that in 2013, hyenas and wild bears were seen in Shuklaphanta National Park. According to him, they were not seen in between. He said that the year 2023 has also started to appear regularly again.

'Species diversity is increasing in Shukla, it is very good for us,' said Joshi, the head of the National Nature Conservation Fund's Shukla Phanta Conservation Program, 'All species have their own importance.' 

There are 43 adult tigers in Shuklaphanta with an area of ​​350 square kilometers. 21 males and 19 females and 43 adult tigers were found based on 3 analyzes based on the camera trapping method. Shuklaphanta is also known as the park with the highest density of tigers. 

The main feature of this park is the herd of twelve hornbills seen in the vast grasslands. In the grasslands spread over an area of ​​54 square kilometers, you can see herds of twelve horns in the number of thousands. According to the calculation made in 2023, there are more than 2300 elephants in the park.
