Pabson, the umbrella organization of private school administrators, has held a peaceful protest in front of the Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly against the education policy. Pabson, N-Pabson, Hisan and Apen Sudurpaschim organized a rally today. It was headed by Pabson Sudurpaschim President CB Chand.

The participants in the protest raised slogans such as 'Non-profits are not needed, companies cannot be removed', 'Reform the federal education policy', 'Respect private schools', 'Vidyalaya Ekta Zindavad' and 'Private schools cannot be killed'.

They protested the government's proposal to make private schools non-profit. Pabson Sudurpaschim President CB Chand said that the state has neglected the contribution made by private schools to the country's economy and the level of education and the new policy will weaken the level of education. He said that this movement is not only for the benefit of private schools but also for the benefit of general students.

According to the current practice, Pabson has demanded that the provision of giving 10 percent of the total number of students should be maintained, the words related to full scholarship should be removed, the enrollment fee, annual fee and monthly tuition fee should be maintained and the proposal to make private schools non-profit should be removed.

Private school administrators also said that the government's policy of discouraging the education sector will further weaken the quality of education. Pabson Sudurpaschim has warned that if the government does not respond to the demand in time, schools will be closed and mass protests will be launched.

The Education, Health and Information Technology Committee of the House of Representatives has passed the School Education Bill on August 5.
