A person who was seriously injured in a jeep accident in Nougad rural municipality-4 Hopri of Darchula died on Thursday afternoon during treatment. Police said that 25-year-old Parvati Tamata, who was seriously injured during treatment at Gokuleshwar Hospital, died during treatment.
According to the District Police Office, three other seriously injured people are being treated at Gokuleshwar Hospital. Among the injured, 26-year-old Mohan Singh Thagunna, 18-year-old Apsara Mahata and 35-year-old Umesh Thagunna are undergoing treatment, said Chhatra Bahadur Rawat, Information Officer of Darchula Police.
According to Rawat, 34-year-old Rambha Mahata of Naugad-4, 12-year-old Ram Mahata, 12-year-old Shyam Mahata, 14-year-old Kanchi Mahata, 72-year-old Gambha Mahata and 19-year-old Lakshmi Karki of Apihimal Rural Municipality-4 are among the other injured in the accident. The police said that the injured have returned home after general treatment at the local health institution.
According to the police, 11 people were injured when a jeep traveling from Hopri in Nowgad to Hoprigad had an accident in the morning. The jeep fell about 70 meters down the road.
