11 people were injured in a jeep accident in Darchula. 4 of the injured are seriously injured. On Thursday morning, the police said that the jeep met with an accident in Nougad rural municipality-4 Hopri of the district.
According to the District Police Office, a jeep going from Hopri to Hoprigad met with an accident. Chhatra Bahadur Rawat, Information Officer of Darchula Police, said that the accident took place in the jeep No. 04001 J 0103 driven by Lakendra Singh Thagunna from Hopri to Hoprigad.
According to Rawat, 4 out of 11 people in the jeep were seriously injured. The injured are 25-year-old Parvati Tamta, 26-year-old Mohan Thagunna, 18-year-old Apsara Mahata and 35-year-old Umesh Thagunna. The accident occurred when the car did not brake on a slippery road.
The police said that 7 people in the vehicle were slightly injured. 4 seriously injured people have been taken to Gokuleshwar Hospital for treatment. District Police Office Darchula has informed that further investigation is being done about the incident.
