A pilgrim has died after falling from Badimalika Bhir. 52-year-old Biplav Ojha, currently living in Gokarneshwar-5, Kathmandu, fell into a ravine about 700 meters down from the bhir near Badimalika temple on Thursday night. Chief District Officer of Bajura, Meghnath Padhya informed that he died and efforts are being made to recover the body.
Ojha fell from Bhir while returning from Badimalika on Thursday night itself. Badimalika has difficult terrain, slippery and steep roads. "It is very difficult to walk during the day, it is not possible to walk in the dark," Prajia Padhya said.
More than 500 treated by the army
Badimalika located in Bajura is 4,200 meters above sea level. Thousands of tourists and devotees have reached Badimalika since a week ago for the Friday fair.
Nepali Army has given first aid to more than 500 people who fell ill during that time. Ishwaribox Gulm in Bajura conducted a free health camp and provided treatment. Camps were conducted at Triveni and Badimalika temples.
