A woman died when two cars collided in Kailali. According to the area police office Malakhet, the accident occurred on Friday in the inner road section of Godavari municipality-3 when the Sudurpaschim Pradesh auto number 01-001 H 3662 and the Sudurpaschim Pradesh auto number 01-001 H 5834 coming from the opposite direction collided.

The first auto was being driven by Khushiram Chaudhary, the driver of Krishnapur municipality-6 in Kanchanpur, while the second auto was being driven by Nandaram Rana, the driver of Krishnapur-7.

65-year-old Mansingh Rana, who was riding in auto number 5834, was seriously injured in the accident. He was immediately taken to Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi, but he died during treatment, police said.

Out of the eight people in both the cars, six others have returned home after treatment and one is undergoing treatment at Attaria Hospital. The police said that a detailed investigation of the incident is underway.
