An absconding defendant in the check dishonor case has been arrested in Baitadi. 53-year-old Keshavraj Bhatta of Kapinda, Dogdakedar rural municipality-4 of the district, who is on the absconding list, was arrested.
Darchula District Court decided on October 7 last year and fined Nij Bhatt Rs 3,000 in the check dishonor case. Bhatt, who is on the absconding list, was arrested from his home on Tuesday morning, said Balram Pandey, spokesperson of the Baitadi district police office and police inspector.
The arrested defendant has been submitted to the District Court Baitadi for fine collection, the police said.
