A child has died due to electrocution in Baitadi. Kiran Koli, the 13-year-old son of Keshav Koli of Giribagar, Dilasaini rural municipality-3 of the district, died.

Police Inspector Balram Pandey, Spokesperson of District Police Office Baitadi, said that Koli was electrocuted when he reached an electric pole while collecting sand from the local Dinnigad river around 2 pm on Saturday.

Koli, who was seriously injured due to electric shock, was taken to Gokuleshwar Hospital for treatment and the doctor declared him dead during examination. Police Inspector Pandey said that Koli's body is now kept in Gokuleswar Hospital. The police said that further investigation is being done on the

incident.
