Far West Chief Minister Shah got a vote of confidence

Far West Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah has received a vote of confidence from the Provincial Assembly on Thursday. He has received 30 votes in the 53-member Sudurpashim State Assembly.

18 MPs from the Congress, 11 MPs from the ruling partner UML and one MP from Civil Immunity voted for Chief Minister Shah. 27 votes are required for a majority in the state assembly. 

After the Civil Liberties Party (NAUPA), which is a partner in power, withdrew its support on June 20, Chief Minister Shah had to take a vote of confidence in accordance with the provisions of the constitution  . But when the Chief Minister tested the vote of confidence, Ranjita's MP Kailash Chaudhary voted in favor of the vote of confidence. 

There are 15 votes against the vote of confidence. The votes of 10 members of the Maoist Center, 3 members of the United Socialist Party, one member of the RPP and one independent member of parliament were opposed. One MP is under suspension. Six people were absent out of the seven members of Civil Immunity.

After the power partner NAUPA withdrew its support, Chief Minister Shah Biswas tested the vote of confidence according to Article 2 of Article 188 of the Constitution. 

Naupa Resham Chowdhury, 6 other MPs were absent from the meeting. Parliamentarians including the leader of the parliamentary party, Ghanshyam Chaudhary, are participating in the national gathering of the Civil Liberation Party organized by the Resham Chaudhary party in Kathmandu. Resham Pakshadhar removed Ranjita Shrestha Chaudhary from the chairmanship and made Resham's father Lalveer Chaudhary the chairman.
