In Darchula, 3,198 households have been found to be at risk of disaster. According to the District Disaster Management Committee, 8,123 people from the said household are at risk of disaster.

Natural calamities such as floods, landslides, landslides, and lightning that occur in the district at different times are increasing the risk. Chief District Officer Anil Paudel said that more than 8,000 people are at risk from disasters such as famine, flood, landslide, lightning, earthquake and disease epidemic this year. committee estimates, 2,500 population of 450 households including Naroli, Rata, Guna, Ofre of Duhu Rural Municipality-2 and Baththoli, Seemar, Sutkhola of Ward No. 5 and Sribagar of Ward No. 3 are estimated to be affected due to floods and landslides.

Similarly, it is estimated that 700 population of 250 households in Jatra, Godhani, Bagad, Sundamund, Dallek, Parikhar, Seemar, Jamir, Khupilgao, Hopri, Mallamatte, Kapre, Udalu, Sribagar, Soukebagar, Dhuligada, Raichu, Gadigad, Parigau and Thagilgadabasti may be affected.

Similarly, due to floods and landslides, 600 people from 120 households in Arukhodi Lwathi, Gaudekhola, Ratavita, Khirsa, Kshetti, Ghajir, Chowkibagad, Majje, Kakanadi and Panimul settlements of Apihimal rural municipality of the district are likely to be affected. 

450 people of 90 households in Madgau, Sunsera, Bhulchaura Basti, Galyabasti, Tusarpani and Tusradi areas of Beas Rural Municipality are at high risk of floods and landslides. It is seen that 600 population of 100 households will be affected in various wards of Malikarjun Rural Municipality.

It is estimated that 550 households and 1,750 people of Sribagar, Badaligau, Mulla and some places of Ward No. 4 of Mahakali municipality located in Khalanga, the district headquarters, will be affected.

150 population of 20 households in Marma rural municipality, 19 settlements of Lekam village and 1373 population of Shailyashikhar municipality will be affected, said Prazia Poudel.
