It has been revealed that Ramreshar Rana of Laljhandi rural municipality-4 Sigalpatti was murdered. According to District Police Office Kanchanpur, Rana was found dead near his house on May 17.

Rana, who worked as a wage laborer in Champawat, Uttarakhand, India, had returned home only 15 days before the incident. The district police released the details of the incident on Monday.

Kanchanpur district court sent Punna Rana of Belauri municipality-4 to jail on June 26, while Maya Chaudhary and her neighbor Manmati Chaudhary were ordered to be released on a bond of one lakh rupees, but they were sent to jail after failing to pay the bond.

SP Khadak Bahadur Khatri said, "This matter came to light while investigating on the basis of the Kitani complaint given by the relatives of the deceased."

According to the police, Punna Rana of Belauri-4 used to load and unload tractors. To get sand from Belauri, he used to travel to Vani in Krishnapur municipality via Laljandi. At the same time, he met Maya from Punna in 2081. Phone numbers were also exchanged. After that, there were regular meetings between them on the phone and in person.

According to the statement given by the accused Punna to the police, around 2081 Chait, Punna met Maya's neighbor Manmati in Belauri. He also started meeting regularly. Rana also gave Manmati the SIM card he was using.

On the 16th of Baisakh, Punna passed through Manmati's house from Belauri and reached Maya's house at night. After learning that Maya's husband had gone to Dipayal for work, Punna decided to stay there for the night. After a while, Ramreshar reached home. She opened the door lovingly as she knocked.

Then a fight started between Ramreshar and Maya. Both of them started slapping each other, meanwhile Punna has given a statement to the police that Ramreshar died when he hit him with a bamboo stick. The police said that Maya, Manmati and Punna threw the dead body on the side of the road.
