Customs evasion goods worth more than 2.2 million rupees have been seized by the police from various places in Kailali and Kanchanpur.
At Hikmatpur Ghat located in Bhajani Municipality-7 of Kailali, the patrol team deployed from the area police office Prithvipur found and seized the illegal items worth 38 thousand 370 rupees from India.
Similarly, a large amount of customs evasion goods have also been recovered from Bhimdatta Municipality-4 bus park in Kanchanpur, Bedkot Municipality-7 Suda, and Punarwas Municipality-11 near Doke Bazar in the roadside monastery area.
District Police Office Kanchanpur and its subordinate police team found crowns, plastic flower garlands, suit pieces, dhoti, towels, glass glasses, roller motors and grocery items. According to the police, the estimated value of all of them is 21 lakh 71 thousand 513 rupees.
According to the police, all the goods have been seized and the necessary legal procedures have been initiated.
