In Ganyapadhura rural municipality-3 of Dadeldhura, a man killed his wife with a sickle. Local 54-year-old Karan Bhul killed 40-year-old wife Khimadevi Bhul with a sickle.
Police said that the incident took place on Thursday night around 11:30. Accused Karan was absconding after the incident. He was arrested from Goelkhet located in Ganyapadhura-3 on Friday morning while he was running away. After his arrest, he was kept in the custody of District Police Office Dadeldhura.
He was arrested by a police team under the command of District Police Office Dadeldhura Police Inspector Dumbar Bist.
The information about the incident was received only this morning, police said. A police team was dispatched to the scene for investigation.
Police Inspector Bista informed that further investigation is being conducted into the cause of the murder. According to the police, preliminary investigations suggest that the incident may have occurred due to a family dispute. But the police said that the details will be revealed only after the investigation.
