The goal is to reach the homes of the far west of the campaign 'Ek Hortan Awaa Lagi': Minister of State Khadka

Saraswati Khadka, Minister of State for Social Development of Sudurpaschim Province, has said that it is necessary to pay attention to mental and physical health in order to reduce the risk of suicide, domestic violence and chronic diseases.

At the 'Dadeldhura District Complete Health Assurance and Sustainability Declaration Program' held on Saturday at the Dadeldhura headquarters, she said that the goal is to extend the 'One Hour for Your Own' campaign to all homes in the state. According to him, self-discipline, regular exercise and the development of a balanced lifestyle among citizens have become mandatory to reduce the rapidly increasing suicide, domestic violence and mental problems. "Every person should spend at least one hour a day for themselves," she said.

She said that exercise, meditation, yoga, mental relaxation and positive thinking are necessary to stay physically healthy. State Minister Khadka mentioned that since there has been an increase in suicide and domestic violence cases in recent times, joint efforts from all levels and sectors are necessary. She said that domestic violence is increasing especially due to alcohol consumption, and she said that it is necessary to intervene at the community level in its management. According to police data, 55 incidents of violence have been registered in Dadeldhura in the current financial year.

"In terms of health, we need to strengthen the structure from the ward to the district level," she said, "especially in the context of the increasing number of chronic patients, it is necessary to improve the lifestyle." According to him, the provincial government is conducting various reform programs from health camps to provide quality health services to the residents of rural areas.

State Minister Khadka said that the situation of women being subjected to violence even in the social and political fields is not yet over and the state, society and family all need to be active to end such incidents.  The

program was attended by representatives of concerned bodies, health workers, local people's representatives and civil society leaders. The participants suggested that public health improvement programs should be prioritized while making 'full vaccination coverage' sustainable.
