This afternoon, Bhuvaneshwari Singh, wife of Deep Singh of Parshuram-6, Tatapani, about 25 years old, and Ritu Bharti, 12 years old, who live in the same place, went to the nearby forest to graze cows. Locals immediately informed the police after seeing it.

As soon as the news was received, the joint team of the local police office Tatapani and the armed police force reached the spot for rescue. Police inspector Rokaya informed that the two trapped in the river could be safely rescued with the coordination of police, armed police, Nepali army and locals.

In addition to this, after the flow of the Puntura river in the same area also increased, the police said that the people who were traveling there were also rescued as a protective measure.

The police have asked the residents of the area to be extra cautious and not to go to the river as the flow of water is continuously increasing in Mahakali river, Rangoon river, Puntura river, Sadni river and other rivers.

The local administration has issued a notification and requested to take precautions to avoid any kind of risk due to heavy rains and to coordinate with the security personnel and local authorities in case of need.
