6 farmers have been honored on the occasion of Paddy Day in Doti. Krishi Gyan Kendra Doti honored 6 people from the district by organizing a program on Sunday.
Gangadat Awasthi, head of the office of Krishi Gyan Kendra Doti, said that although there was an arrangement to honor three people from the district with the Bhimdatta Best Farmer Award, six people were honored by Doti this year. According to him, three farmers have been honored with 25,000 in cash, two shawls and certificates, and three farmers have been honored with two shawls and certificates.
Jai Bahadur Shahi of Dipayal Silagadi Municipality-5, Mukund Awasthi of Adarsh Rural Municipality-1 and Surya Prakash Bhatt of Zorayal Rural Municipality-1 Gara are among those honored with cash. Similarly, Neha Majhi of Banfi, Dipayal Silagadi Municipality-3, Jagat Bahadur Bista of Dipayal Silagadi Municipality-7 and Kansi Saund Dosalla of Dipayal Silagadi Municipality-9 were honored with certificates and awards.
According to the published information about the Bhimdatta Best Farmer Award, the farmers who submitted their applications to Krishi Gyan Kendra Doti and Veterinary Hospital and Animal Expert Service Center were selected and honored, said Chandrakant Pant, Head of Veterinary Hospital.
He said that the best farmers were chosen after visiting their homes and observing them. Receiving the award, farmer Mukund Awasthi, who is cultivating vegetables in 50 tunnels, said that the award made him realize more responsibility.
