A man has died after being swept into the river Chaulani (Chameliya) on the border of Darchula and Baitadi.
According to the police, 60-year-old Krishna Bahadur Pal, a resident of Shailyashikhar Municipality-2 Chelabagar, died after being swept away while taking a bath on Saturday morning.
According to the District Police Office, Darchula, 60-year-old Krishna Bahadur Pal died after being washed away in the Chaulani River while bathing in Chelabagar. Officer Chhatra Bahadur Rawat of District Police Office Darchula said that his body was found about 200 meters below the place where the tent was swept away in the river.
The body of deceased Pal is being prepared to be taken to Gokuleshwar Hospital for post-mortem. The police said that further investigation is going on regarding the incident.
