The Sudurpaschim Province government has decided to provide financial assistance of 40 lakhs to the victims of the fire that broke out in Bamka Bazar located in Budhiganga Municipality-6 of Bajura on Friday.

Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah said that the decision was taken by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Control Council meeting held at the office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers on Sunday morning. The amount of assistance will be transferred to Budhiganga Municipality. 

"The amount provided to the municipality as humanitarian aid should be prepared and provided to the fire victims by the municipality," said Chief Minister Shah.

Ram Bahadur Baniyan, Head of Budhiganga Municipality, said that 35 shop towers were destroyed when a gas cylinder burst into fire at Navadurga Hotel in Bamka Bazar. According to him, about 20 million worth of property has been damaged. The provincial government has also announced 15 big tents, 34 blankets and 34 tarpaulins.
