A team of armed police force from Mahakali municipality-9 Bed seized the banned horse stamp bidi and the vehicle jeep which was transporting the said bidi.

On Tuesday, a team of armed police said that bidis worth 8 lakh 10 thousand, which were illegally entering Nepal from the Nepal-India border area at Bedd, were seized.

Armed Police Force Nepal No. 44 Gan Headquarters Darchula mobile team of the armed police on Tuesday recovered the illegal horse stamp bidi and a dilapidated Bolero Jeep No. SE-1 J 1087 used for transportation. 

Armed Police Inspector Mahendra Kumar Bam led by the team from the area seized eighteen boxes (one thousand eight hundred bundles) of horse stamp beads banned in Nepal and handed them over to the Darchula Customs Office for necessary action.

The market price of the bidi is equal to 8 lakh 10 rupees. It has been reported that illegal goods worth 20 lakh 57 thousand 625 rupees have been seized and handed over to the customs office.
